So I realize that I haven't written on here in quite a while. I can't sleep right now, So I figured I would update y'all on what has been going on in my life. Well Zach came home from Spain and I thought I had blown things and then we decided to be just friends. Well when he got home, things that he wanted to try to work out didn't work the way he wanted them to, so he asked if the spot on my couch was still available. I told him of course and he came to stay with me. Fate came into play and one thing led to another then we started dating. I didn't expect this, but I figure I'll let it play out.

Zach's family came down for a weekend and I love them. He went back with them on Sunday and will be there until December 27. I miss him already...I told him that I wish he were home with me and he wishes he were too.

Things might be a little stressful for us in the next few months, but what doesn't kill us eventually makes us stronger. As long as I have him in my life, I can handle anything that is thrown my way.

I have a lot on my mind, but am just trying to just give it to God and let Him take the stress for me. So Lord, hear my prayer. Please, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.

Another year older, another year wiser...right?

I don't feel 22 years old, I guess that is good though. I know I have changed. I am a stronger woman now than I was last year. I have seen more, dealt with more, and traveled more. I've met new people and have let some go.

I was going through some photos and found a picture of me from last year and then a picture of me from this year...I do not look the same!

Do you see the difference?

Happy Veteran's Day to all of those who have served and are serving in our armed forces. I am proud to say that I have friends, family and friends who are like family that serve in different branches of the military. I found this on a design myspace a few years ago and have kept it and I just thought I'd post it.

Be very conscious of what information you share with others today, Sagittarius. It's true that you can be rather chatty, and sometimes you forget what is private and what can be openly discussed. If you aren't careful, you may inadvertently let a cat out of the bag, which could in turn anger someone who considers you a confidante. Tonight, get ready for a fabulous weekend. Make sure you have something nice to wear because you may receive an impromptu invitation. If someone does surprise you out of the blue, make sure you say yes!

Wednesday, November 3, 2010

If you are looking for love, Sagittarius, this is a prime time for romance. If you are single, you may be feeling rather unfulfilled with the people you meet. You may even be saying to yourself that there just isn't anyone out there for you. That may be how it seems after a long dry spell when potential lovers don't measure up to your expectations. But you are looking for a needle in a haystack, and that takes some time and some work. Be more open to who you let into your world. There could be a really great person out there that you are unfairly judging at face value.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

There are always several small cogs in the wheel of life that don't seem very important to anyone. You may now be feeling like one of those cogs, Sagittarius. You may believe that your role in something isn't all that exciting. You may also think that no one is watching, and that no one will see what a good job you are doing or how great your capabilities and talents really are. But that's not true. Although your contribution may seem small to you, it is essential. And someone influential is watching, so take great pride in your contribution.
I went back to CrossFit tonight and it felt soo damn good even though it hurt while I was there. I am glad I didn't give up. I have 25 days until my birthday and it's going to be an interesting month.
You were created to love and be loved. You were meant to live life in a relationship with other people, to know and be known. You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story. We live in a difficult world, a broken world. You need to know that your life matters. You are not alone and this is not the end to your story.

Monday, November 1, 2010

Don't give in to your temper today, Sagittarius. You may be headed for a dramatic moment or two later today. This could involve a person and a clash of wills that you've encountered before. Each time you run into this person the two of you are like battering rams vying for the same territory. But there is plenty of space for both of you. You need to agree to disagree, and you also need to be willing to bend just a little bit. If you can be flexible, you will cause the other party to take it down a notch too.

Don't count all the reasons why you don't deserve something that has been offered to you. Someone in your world - perhaps a family member or a lover - is offering you a wonderful opportunity to do or have something you have always wanted to do or have. This is not a fluke. You are not in this position by accident. You may not have achieved what you expected of yourself but you are not lazy or unfair, and you are where you are because of your stellar character. Don't turn down something fabulous, Sagittarius. You absolutely deserve it.
So I have officially determined that my BlackBerry is a POS. Texts aren't coming through when they need to, pictures aren't coming through or going out when I receive/send them, and the internet is shoddy. I need a new phone and lucky for me, my birthday is right around the corner. Guess what I'm asking for.

Thursday, October 28, 2010

You're facing something now that feels like a challenge, or maybe even a curse. But in fact it's a wonderful opportunity. Even though there may be some unpleasant details that you'll need to attend to, and some tough conversations or conflicts involved, once you get past the first part of it you will see an amazing window of opportunity. Don't bemoan what you are now facing or will soon face, even though it isn't something you wouldn't choose for yourself. Dive into it with enthusiasm, and the rewards will ultimately be absolutely fabulous.
So today I am getting my Passion Party consultant kit in the mail today. I cannot wait to see what is inside ^_^ I hope my business will be semi successful and that I won't need to get a "real job" while I am in school. I am just trying to get things together now, but starting in January, I'm going to be getting big into doing parties! I am hoping to host at least 3 per month.

My life is really starting to turn around.

I got my papers turned into Kaplan and my tuition deposit paid for. I will be placed on a 5 week probation and if I do not have a 65% in all of my classes by the end of the 5 weeks, I will be dismissed and not be charged for tuition. I will be taking my 2 class minimum this quarter so I can easily make that 65% in both classes.

I am pretty much house-bound today because my car is at Pat Peck Nissan getting new seals put in the engine, windshield wipers put on, and a new battery put in the remote. I kind of feel like I am 14 or 15 again because I am driving the golf cart around today.

I am focusing on myself for the next few weeks...especially working on my weight loss. Today starts the birthday countdown...32 days...and I am starting the birthday diet too. That means no more fast food and I need to drink more water. I've got to cut down on my carb count and I need to add more veggies to my diet. I've got to get back into working out and taking my Phentermine faithfully. I'm determined to make November a good month for my weight loss!

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

A mystery about someone you know and care for could be driving you crazy right now. You want to know more than you are really entitled to know at this time. Don't push your luck or step over the line, because you could put the other person in an awkward position. You may also come off as pushy, nosy, and arrogant. Let it go for now, and what you need to know will become available at just the right moment. Concentrate instead on improving your relationship in more conventional ways, such as spending more carefree time together and building a foundation of deeper friendship.
So update on life. I've been bored out of my damn mind. My ankle is doing better and I can walk around without extreme pain. I am going to try to go back to CrossFit tonight and I've been out for over 2 weeks. I gained around 3 to 5 pounds since being on "couch restriction".

Tomorrow starts the birthday countdown and my stricter diet. I am aiming to lose at least 5 pounds but I'd love to drop 10 before my birthday. My friend Jessica says if I make myself sick dieting, she's gonna come down here and kick my ass. I love my friends.

This week I signed up to be a Passion Party consultant ^_^ my friend Sara is my sponsor. I am hoping that I can make a little extra money on the side and won't really have to have a job while I am finishing my bachelor's degree. I have a lot of people supporting my decision to start my own business. I should be getting my party kit today and my first party is on November 6 - my practice party - and I booked one for November 20. I am not going to be booking many in December for various reasons. That is what I love about having my own business...I can make my own hours.

I found a blog layout and I am deciding whether I like it or not. I guess I'll give it a few days and find out. I want feedback!!!

A broken promise or a disappointment of some kind may lead to something wonderful. Just when you least expect it, a situation that didn't turn out the way you hoped will show off a very silver lining. It may present a connection you never thought you'd make, or it could offer you an opportunity you didn't believe would be available to you. That's why it's always best to expect the best, even when it seems like you've been forsaken by life. Go forward knowing that even dark situations can hold the promise of something wonderful.

Here are two pictures of me from the past few months.

The first picture is from August.
The second picture is from October.
I think I've lost a lot of weight between the two pictures. My sides are slimming. These pictures are in the same outfit from the same mirror.
Don't waste your time holding a grudge today, Sagittarius. That's too hard a thing to carry - especially on a day that should be productive and uplifting. Set down your burden of anger, even if your anger is understandable. Someone may have let you down in some way. That could leave you feeling resentful and irritated, but you do have a choice in how you react. Instead of casting blame and pointing fingers, do something to show you are above all that. If you choose the high road, you will find everything you need to accomplish the goal at hand.

Friday, October 15, 2010

You may think you understand someone's motives for a recent flare-up, but there is more to it than meets the eye. Emotions are high in a close relationship right now. You probably aren't being objective in assessing the situation. Try to read between the lines. The person you are dealing with may be hesitant to share something with you because you tend to react very defensively with this individual. Explore your feelings here. There could be some sense of insecurity on your part and on the part of the other person. Better communication will solve the problem.

So I am officially a genius. I went to help my friend's momma pack and get ready to move. Well in the midst of it, I tripped on her bed frame and it gouged my ankle. At first, I thought it was just like a huge scratch and light gouge so I put a "makeshift bandage" made of a washcloth and packaging tape on it.

While helping Brad's mom, she gave me a few sweet things that mean the world to me. She gave me a picture of Brad from when he was in early high school and it was the sweetest gesture ever. That picture has a special place on one of my shelves. She also gave me a clay cross for helping her move and it now sits with the picture of Brad on my shelf. I also got a beautiful teke dolphin that sits on my desk. I love Momma Tish and see were Brad got his kindness from. After helping her move, I went to the cemetery to visit Brad and almost as soon after I sat down, his Uncle Al drove up to place Autumn flowers at his grave. We had a great talk and sat there for almost an hour. I found out that the guitar that I had given him years before was one of his prized possessions and that just touched my heart. We shared memories and laughed and cried. I told him about the night I had given him the guitar and how I still remembered the hug that Brad had given me after that. I'll always remember that hug and the look on his face when he opened the guitar case. I miss him and the random text messages he sent me that typically got to me exactly when I needed a pick me up. I will never forget him and I would bend over backwards to help his mom and Uncle Al in any way possible.

Here are some pictures of my ankle. First up is my banging makeshift bandage.
We didn't think it was bad, but boy were we wrong! This is after I got home and unwrapped it.

After my ankle started to swell, I went to the ER and ended up having to get 6 stitches.
I cannot do heavy exercises for 2 weeks and I have to keep it mostly dry. I want to keep going to CrossFit, but I'm going to have to talk to Shane about doing something light so I wont bust my stitches. The wound is like right on the bend of my ankle lol I'm just that good.

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different...again. Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan." The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?" Johnny said, "Because I'm a Republican."

The teacher asked him why he's a Republican. Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican." Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "So If your mom were a moron and your dad were an idiot, what would that make you?" With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me an Obama fan."

A choice you made recently will begin to show its effects today, Sagittarius. At first, what happens may cause you to question the decision you made, and to think about undoing what you have done. But pretty soon you will see the path veer off in another direction, and you will know that what transpired will lead you to the best possible outcome. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't tweak things a little bit to make your situation even better. Tonight, don't believe someone too easily. There may be a secret for you to uncover.

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

I haven't posted in a few days, so I thought I'd put an update up.

I am stressed beyond belief this week. I don't know why because I have nothing to be stressed about or at least that is what Grandfather thinks. If I tell him I'm stressed, he always asked what do I have to be stressed about. WTH?!

I have to order graduation announcements and get a list together of who I want to send them to. Better yet, get the list then order the announcements.

I also have to get my unofficial transcript sent off to Kaplan for them to give me a decision on whether or not my credits will be able to be transferred, which I don't see why not. I have friends that graduated from the same program that I did and Kaplan accepted their credits.

I think I might've blown it with Zach and it's too bad because I started to kind of like him. It's complicated. Like I can be myself when I talk to him. I can tell him everything and he doesn't judge me. That is what I like the most about him. Fingers crossed though that things will work themselves out. I am not depending on it to happen, but hopefully I will at least have a good friend out of it.

Enough for now. I need to run errands. I'll write again soon.

So I've been up since 4 am and am currently watching Twilight. It came on at 5:30 but thank goodness that NCIS was on from 4:00 until 5:00 and I was able to watch a little bit of Inglorious Basterds - which I have seen probably 15 times - until Twilight came on at 5:30. I actually love that series. My friend let me borrow it years ago but I never read it and then I watched it when I started working at Super Video last summer. After I watched it, I knew I had to read the books so I borrowed my nieces copies of the saga. I fell in love with it. I've seen all the movies and cannot wait for Breaking Dawn to be released. There is a 5th book in the saga, but it hasn't truly been released yet. There was a leak of Midnight Sun on the internet by someone she gave a copy to and she was pissed then decided not to publish it. She then put it on her website and is debating whether or not to publish it. I started to read it and I couldn't get into it.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the Twilight Saga.
And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. - Edward Cullen

You already know how I feel, of course. I’m here… which, roughly translated, means I would rather die than stay away from you. – Bella Swan

Today is the first and last day of forever. – Edward Cullen

It’s too easy to be myself with you. – Bella Swan

I didn’t know if there ever was a choice, really. I was already in too deep. Now that I knew — if I knew — I could do nothing about my frightening secret. Because when I thought of him, of his voice, his hypnotic eyes, the magnetic force of his. It was hard to believe that someone so beautiful could be real. I was afraid that he might disappear in a sudden puff of smoke, and I would wake up. – Bella Swan

I’ll miss you. No matter how short a time you’re gone. – Alice Cullen

I’m essentially a selfish creature. I crave your company too much to do what I should. – Edward Cullen

This hostage stuff is fun! -Alice Cullen

I’m absolutely ordinary — well, except for bad things like all the near-death experiences and being so clumsy that I’m almost disabled. – Bella Swan

I can be patient — if I make a great effort. – Edward Cullen

He knows I’ve been meaning to do the laundry. Maybe he’ll think I fell in the washer. – Bella Swan

Stupid, unreliable vampire. – Bella Swan

And you accused me of dazzling people — poor Jacob Black. – Edward Cullen

Are you referring to the fact that you can’t walk across a flat, stable surface without finding something to trip over? – Edward Cullen

It’s healthy to ditch class now and then. – Edward Cullen

Nothing more fun than an irritable grizzly. – Bella Swan

You’re not a magnet for accidents — that’s not a broad enough classification. You are a magnet for trouble. If there is anything dangerous within a ten-mile radius, it will invariably find you. – Edward Cullen

I tried to be diplomatic, but mostly I just lied a lot. –Bella Swan

You silly, beautiful, oversensitive girl. - Edward Cullen

Some diamonds are perfect to the naked eye, but reveal a whole world of imperfections when looked at though a magnifying loop. The same could be said for friends. If you look too closely at someone today, you may find a whole lot of flaws that will bother you. But that isn't the way you're supposed to look at a friend, is it Sagittarius? After all, most people wouldn't stand up under such scrutiny - including you. Someone in your life offers you a wealth of friendship. Don't go looking for trouble.

Sunday, September 26, 2010

So my friend Brittany invited me to go to the bar for a few drinks with her tonight and even though I felt like shit after doing FGB, I decided to go anyway because I haven't been out with her in several weeks. Well I was looking for my dress that I've worn on several occasions throughout my weight-loss journey.

The first picture is from a political rally that I went to in November 2008.
The next photo is from November 2009 from my 21st birthday party.
The next picture is from tonight.

I personally think that I look better in the picture I took tonight than I did in the other two pictures even though I was actually smaller in the first picture than I am now. I never worked out back in 2008 and I exercise regularly now, so I am noticing a big difference in myself and I am so proud!

Friday, September 24, 2010

One of the most valuable things we can do to heal one another is to listen to each other's stories.
This was my fortune cookie from my Chinese the other night. It really made me think about my friends and life in general.

I am honestly sick and tired of being walked all over. I am a nice person and I do what I can for my friends. With a few people, I end up getting screwed over and taken advantage of in the end. Here within the past few weeks I am learning who my friends are. There are certain people that I need to cut out of my life - even though some of them are ones that I've known half of my life. I don't want people who bring negative energy and drama into my life. Those people just end up driving me up the wall and upsetting me.

I am so lucky to have the friends that I do - there are some that I am closer to than others. Some I have become close to recently and some I've been close to forever. They are the ones who are always there for me to talk to and are proud of my achievements. They are truly my strength when I need it.

I am so glad to have someone who makes me feel good about myself and knows how to make me smile. It's kind of strange because my friends are starting to notice that I am just happier. I can just be myself when I talk to him and this is what I like the most. He thinks I'm pretty but doesn't judge me on just that. He sees me for who I truly am and likes my personality. Because beauty only lasts for so long. If you don't have the personality to go with it, then you truly have nothing going or you. Even if it ends up just being a friendship, I'll be fine with that. Who knows what the future brings.

I am truly blessed.

These are some little poems I got in an email from my mom a year or so ago. She loves to send the funny fwd emails.

1. My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife. Marrying you has screwed up my life.
2. I see your face when I am dreaming. That's probably why I always wake up screaming.
3. Kind, intelligent, loving and hot; this describes everything you are not.
4. Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss, But I only slept with you 'cause I was pissed.
5. I thought that I could love no other -- that is until I met your brother.
6. Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you. The roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head.
7. I want to feel your sweet embrace; but don't take that paper bag off your face.
8. I love your smile, your face, and your eyes; damn, I'm good at telling lies!
9. My love, you take my breath away - what have you stepped in to smell this way?
10. My feelings for you no words can tell, except for maybe 'Go to hell.'
11.What inspired this amorous rhyme? Two parts vodka and one part lime.

You have more influence than you think with a certain person in your world. There is someone who holds some authority in an area that is important to you. This person may have you feeling as though he or she holds all of the cards. You may actually believe that you have to take orders from this person if you are to get what you want or need. But in reality, it may all be a bluff. There is a lesson here for you, Sagittarius. Sometimes you can become powerful simply by making others think that you are.

Monday, September 20, 2010

So I was cleaning up my SMS inbox and I found a message that Liz sent me. I had to post it here.

Remember, a guy is an extended version of yourself. He shouldn't complete you - he should compliment you.
An announcement received from a close friend or family member should be music to your ears. If you have been waiting to hear something from a special person, you won't have to wait too much longer. Even though you don't always show your more emotional side, this would be a great time to express your caring and happiness. This afternoon, you may encounter someone with a chip on his shoulder. It may be hard to resist becoming involved in a debate, but steering clear would be wise.
I finally hit the 20 pound down mark ^.^ I could not be more excited about it! I am loving this change in my body and I am starting to gain more confidence in myself. The size 18 AE jeans I bought a few months ago finally fit me comfortably enough that I am not self conscious wearing them in public! The way I am rewarding myself is by going to Victoria's Secret and buying myself a new bra, because I've also lost a bra size (both in number and cup) - now that is probably the thing that makes me one of the happiest besides losing a full jean size.

It has been a long time since I've been able to say I haven't felt self conscious the past few days (almost a week and a half). I think some of it has to do with talking to Zach. He said something yesterday that made me smile:
Him: we are pretty much the same person, we have alot in common
Me: Yeah, we do. I like that.
Him: me too

Saturday, September 18, 2010

So I officially get to graduate in January. I got my credit for my externship and passed my spreadsheets class with a 79%. I thought I had done horribly on my final but I ended up with a 187/200.

I am submitting my transcript to Kaplan University on Monday. I have decided to pursue my bachelor's degree! Full time status there is taking 2 classes per quarter and I think I can handle that. Especially with it being fully online. I won't start until January because the new quarter starts in the middle of next week. That is good though, the time off gives me a little time to focus on myself and re-organize.

So I think everything is starting to come together for me and I'm very happy. I am working on my stress and figuring out how to keep it at a minimum.

I have been talking to this guy named Zach for the past few days - we just talk on IM and the other day shared what we think of each other. I really enjoy talking to him...he makes me smile and I just feel better after talking to him.

I like how he is honest with me - not a lot of guys are honest these days. We talk about pretty much everything. Here is one of the conversations we had a few days ago:

Him: i have enjoyed talking to you so much
Me: I like talking to you also.
Him: thank you it kinda helps me out.
Me: and I'm glad you like talking to me too.
Him: anyway, what is you opinion of me?
Me: Well from talking to you for the past few days, I think you're sweet and funny. You're cute. You make me smile too. What do you think of me?
Him: well, i really enjoy talking to you. you have the same affect on me as i do to you. i just start feelin better at the end of the day. you are pretty, i wish i wasnt over here now, just so i could meet you face to face.
Me: I feel better during the day too. I wish you weren't over there right now either. But there's always time for that when you get back. December is only 3-ish months away.
Him: yeah but its gonna be a long 3-ish months
Me: Patience is a virtue lol
Him: true
There was a lot more to that conversation, but that part is where we talked about what we think of each other. He wished he weren't deployed right now so he could see me face-to-face and I agree with him, it's going to be a long 3 months but I think it'll be worth it. I don't usually look forward to talking to a lot of people online (except for my Liz) and I typically ignore some people when they IM me - be it on the computer or on my cell phone - or I am just not by my computer but I always look forward to talking to him and we have conversations for hours.
Here are some Marilyn Monroe quotes that I feel describe me and what I'm feeling:
I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm already better than them.

Beneath the makeup and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world.

She was a girl who knew how to be happy even when she was sad. And that’s important—you know.

This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, somg go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babve, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up becuase if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.

The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space.

Welcome Change

I picked up Chinese for my friend Brittany and her mom today - they are both sick - and the lady at the Chinese restaurant loves me (she always calls me "pretty girl") and so I asked her for an extra fortune cookie and she just smiled and handed me one. That was my fortune. It made me smile when I read it because so much is going on in my life right now and this is just reminding me that I need to accept what is going happening with open arms and embrace it.
Are you doing as much as you can for someone who loves you dearly? Are you thoughtful, considerate, and kind in all the ways you should be for someone who loves you unconditionally? You may not realize it but you occasionally overlook certain opportunities to provide sentimental joy to someone who treasures you deeply. If you can't figure out what this might be, just imagine how YOU would want to be treated by someone you love and treasure. Tonight, look into investments you have been considering. This is a good time to get ahead financially.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Don't turn your nose down at an offer today. You may receive an opportunity that is disguised as drudgery. You may even feel you are above accepting it. However, there could very well be much more to it than meets the eye. The time is right for finding pearls of wisdom in ugly oyster shells, and for finding treasures in the most unexpected places too. Don't ignore any potential for making your life better. You may have the chance now to get ahead if you are willing to be open-minded about how you do so.

So I like putting up my horoscope for the day - it read my blog every day so it will remind me of what this day holds.

They say that fortune favors the bold, Sagittarius, and that is certainly true for you right now. An upcoming opportunity will require that you be your strong, self-assured, and assertive self if you are to capitalize on a wonderful break in either business or your personal life. This shouldn't be hard for you to do since you can be quite proactive and aggressive when you need to be. Just be sure that anything you say or do cannot be misconstrued as being pushy or opportunistic rather than ambitious.

I've been in a good mood the past few days and I'm enjoying it! The Zoloft is starting to work, even though I am having a few side effects that I am not particularly enjoying - insomnia and nausea. There is one of the side effects that I hope I have - weight loss lol I just want it to boost me a little bit.

I'm going back to CrossFit and I even went and got my nails done yesterday. My wrist hurts a bit from being bent all the way back with a 45 lb bar on it! Not cool at all. I was told last night by my friend that "i think its bad ass ur into CrossFit" and that just made me laugh because a week or so ago I was told that I was intimidating because I worked out too much. I don't think there is such a thing as working out too much, especially when I am trying to lose close to 60 more pounds to better my self image and boost my confidence.

I am attempting to cut back on my daily carb intake as well as my daily calorie intake - my breakfast pretty much blew my carb intake ha ha so I've got to be a good girl the rest of the day! I'm going to D'Iberville today, so I'll grab a salad from Olive Garden for lunch. There are only 22 grams of carbs in the entire salad, which is not too bad. Now I don't know if a To-Go salad is one serving size (because LiveStrong says a whole salad is a serving size) or if it counts as half a serving size. I'll figure it out. I just can't have the bread sticks, so I'll ask for no bread sticks when I order it. Bread is the enemy and I must eliminate as much of it as humanly possible! I guess I will row extra after my work-out tonight to make up for the calories and some carbs I ate for breakfast lol now the issue - what to cook for dinner that is low carb!!!

I am seeing a lot of things in a different light and I am starting to find myself again. My confidence is starting to come back.

So I was talking football with a guy the other day and he said "awwww thats so cute. lol ive never seen a girl so passionate about football. that's kind of hot" that cracked me up because I know some things about football, but there are a lot of things I don't know. My friend Andre taught me pretty much all that I know about football!

Well it's time to start getting ready to hit the road for D'Iberville. I am hoping that my friend Brittany will take back my redbox movie that I rented and accidentally left at her house, because I don't really have time to pick it up and it is several days late (I get charged a $1.07 a day!) and I need to put money in the bank today. Ughhhhhh! Oh and I need new shoes - my Sperry's are starting to get nasty and grimy (I wear them too much) and my ballet flats are officially work to death. I'm looking into getting Vibrams because I hate going barefoot while I'm working out and I've heard those are the next best thing!

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised that it would be worth it.
Don't fix what isn't broken, Sagittarius. You may feel inclined to push and push and continue seeking out ways to perfect something. But nothing is truly perfect. What you have already strategized is quite good, and will most likely see you through to success. With a sibling or close family member, be as gentle as possible when offering your critique. Not everyone is as talented as you at a domestic-related skill or talent. Try to grade on the curve when assessing someone's work. To do otherwise could be hurtful.

Karma is a BITCH

So I found out that sometime this week Nissan N. America is sending a representative to Pat Peck Nissan to investigate why it took my car so long to get fixed. 3 people who were working with my file were fired and it took 2.5 weeks to drop the damn oil pan, take a picture of it, and send it to Nissan N. America for my warranty. I am glad that something is getting done. Hopefully they will refund us 75% of the rental car - which they said it could be a possibility.

I feel horrible. I haven't been to CrossFit all week - between ToM cramps and whatever rut I'm in, I just haven't had the energy to go. I know what is wrong with me, but then again I don't understand it. I love CrossFit, but I just don't really want to go anywhere. I want to stay in my bed. I've lost my motivation and I don't know where to look to find it again.

I look at my friends losing weight and I feel like I'm failing, like I'm not being as successful as I could be.

I guess I'll figure this out eventually. I want this anti-depressant to kick in soon so I can gain control of my life again.

I guess my grandfather is right (I don't say that often)...I need something to do - something to get me out of the house. I hate being stuck here. This is what is making me lose my motivation. I've applied for maybe a dozen jobs since I finished my externship and I haven't heard back from anyone. Most lawyers want a paralegal with experience - how in the hell do they expect me to get experience if they don't give me a chance...even if it is on a temporary basis.

That's all for now - sorry for the rant. My therapist thinks that this blog is a great way for me to vent about what is bothering me and that I need to keep up with it.

I am a Saints fan
I was born into the tradition - a 3rd generation fan
I was born with football in my blood - it is a season and a religion
I bleed black and gold
I keep a fleur de lis close to my heart
I am proud of our boys - win or lose
I think New Orleans is a beautiful place

PUT THAT IN YOUR JUICE BOX AND SUCK IT!
Last night was a rough night. I felt sick, I guess from eating late and taking my medication late. Then I wasn't able to sleep in my own bed - I had to get up and go sleep on my couch. The moment I laid on the couch and turned over to get comfortable, I was out like a damn light. Weird, I know.

So back to my conversation with my therapist:

She thinks I need to get out more - find a hobby or a volunteer activity until I get a job. It sounds interesting and I may just do that. I told my mom about my "depressive episode" and she was like "Oh I knew something was going on." I guess she wanted me to figure it out on my own but I would've liked a little notice. Then I called to tell my grandfather (because he would've asked sooner or later) and when I told him that my therapist said I was in a "depressive episode" he said "Why are you depressed?" wth?! I don't need a reason to be depressed - I mean, hello...it's called DEPRESSIVE BIPOLAR DISORDER for a reason. Then he went on to saying that I was the happiest he's ever seen me when I was doing my internship at the attorney's office and that I needed to get out of the house and do something almost daily. My goodness, if I did that - I'd be completely BROKE. He said money is not the issue but he'd like for me to get something that will pay. But if I start going places during the day and being "social", he's going to complain that I am "running around" too much. I mean, most places to do volunteer work are in Gulfport and Biloxi and 2 days of driving there and back is almost a whole tank of gas. Doing that two or three times a week exhausts my weekly "allowance" and then I'd have to buy lunch and I still need to have time to hang out with the friends I do have. So if I ask him for more money, he's going to complain about that too!!! I just don't get him sometimes. I really don't like that he puts me in this position and he nags me.
I was a flight risk, afraid of fallin'
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Before you met me I was a wreck
So take a chance and don't ever look back

My quarterback and your quarterback was sittin by the fire - my quarterback told your quarterback gonna make your ass retire! Talkin 'bout WHO DAT! WHO DAT! WHO DAY SAY DE GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!!

**AMBER ALERT** Delusional elderly man off his medication needs to be returned to his retirement home in Minnesota. Description 6'2 and around 212 lbs. He goes by the name of Brett Favre. He thinks he can play football and was last seen in New Orleans wearing a Vikings jersey.

Soo onto the events of today:

I went to the therapist in Mandeville. I always enjoy seeing my therapist because I can just babble to her and not worry about what she thinks of me. I've never liked seeing therapists before I started seeing this one. During out session I mentioned the fact that I've been kind of down lately. She asked what symptoms I've been having and blah blah blah and she said "It sounds like you're having a depressive episode." My first thought was WTH?! I have never had a depressive episode before and I had no clue what symptoms to look for. So she put me on Zoloft to help with my depression and I sure hope that something will help me pull out of this rut I'm in.

Mom says she is proud of me for being able to recognize this on my own - I kind of wish she had told me. But she had a point - if she would've told me, it would have just pissed me off.
Yeahhh - that's all I have for tonight.

Football

I am sooo ready for some Saints football tonight!!! It thrilled me that my jersey looks more like a dress when I don't tie it in the back. Last year it barely fit!

I proudly rep no.88 - Jeremy Shockey!! I have his autograph on the back of this jersey and he is one fine piece of man :D I swear, he is my future husband...he just doesn't know it yet!!

This is what my horoscope application on my BlackBerry says about my star sign:

Restless energy and the need for personal independence keep a Sagittarian moving in many directions. They become experts at adapting to the culture or climate of their immediate environment. Always ready to travel for business or pleasure (and sometimes because of an overwhelming urge to escape) Sagittarians are all too willing to break free of the confinements of responsibility and work.

Thanks Sabrina!!

I was given my first blog award today ^.^

As part of the award I have to share seven random things about my self. Here goes nothing:

1. My favorite colors are pink, black and turquoise.
2. I love to cook - especially gumbo.
3. Ed Hardy is my favorite perfume.
4. My closet is the size of a small bedroom.
5. I am an emotional eater.
6. New Orleans is my favorite city.

Now, I have to nominate a new blogger. I don't really know if these people are new, but they are new to me!

1. Adrienne @ Adrienne's Blog
2. Becky @ Fit Forever...Fat Again? Never...

I haven't blogged in a good while, so I figured I would put up a post because I can't really sleep.

Things are going good for me right now. I am loving my new hair! It really gave me a boost that I've been needing lately.

I am not losing weight even though I am losing size. This annoys the hell out of me! I am doing a good bit of weight training at CrossFit and getting a little cardio in, but I don't think I am getting enough cardio. I know that CrossFit is a lot of work, but I feel I need to do a little more so I am going to cut back on my days at CrossFit 10-9 to maybe 3 or 4 days a week and do my cardio on my days off.

Sunday, September 5, 2010

So I highlighted my hair and got a new pair of shorts. I love the color I put in my hair because it is actually my natural blond color! If I am in the sun a lot, my hair gets "sun stripes" and my colorist matched my natural blond "sun stripes" to the highlights she put in. It blends so well in my hair.

So I just finished a book I've been reading for the past few days called Even Now. Now a lot of people who truly know me know that religion is an iffy subject with me...but this book is Christian Fiction. I read it a few years ago when I was in a church fit and for some reason decided to read it again.

One passage is a bible verse that really called to me:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

This picture is from the CrossFit website from the other day - I love it!

Just thought I'd share - I've been good on my calories all day so I can have curry and a little piece of cake tonight!

For some reason I've been very self conscious and "off" the past day or two and B says it pisses her off =/ I don't mean to piss people off, but that is just how I feel. Last night, I just wanted to crawl into a cave and just give up. I haven't had any weight loss within the past 2 or 3 weeks and it just disappoints me. I guess it's because I have my weigh-in next week.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

I so made tonight's wod my proverbial bitch - or as Shane put it, I was "balls to the wall"... I don't know what happened - well I kind of do - but I just felt this fire and this need to push myself harder than I've EVER pushed before. Hopefully I'll have this fire when I do FGB5 later this month.

So one thing I am kind of irritated at is that one of my "friends" is losing weight like crazy - like she is not really working out and sort of dieting. Why do good things happen to bad people? I work out almost every day and I don't let myself cheat too much (not nearly as much as I used to) and yet I haven't been losing much weight. I've got to do something to change this. It's time for something to change!

Enough for tonight - I've got to be up at 5 am to work-out again because I am going to Brittany's tomorrow night for dinner. Her hubby is making curry and I've never had that before. I'm kind of excited.

So I was cleaning off the pictures in my BlackBerry and I found something that made me smile and almost cry in one moment.

The first picture was from February 2010 and the second picture is from this past weekend. Tell me what you think!

Monday, August 23, 2010

I am passing my spreadsheets class (which I need to graduate) - I made a 200/200 for my midterm and brought my grade from a 40-something to an 80-something. I need to pull up my Admin Law grade from a 40-something to an acceptable 70-something. I can live with a 2.8 - 3.0 on my FINAL semester. I won't get honors like I'd hope, but I'll at least squeak by with a 2.97!! If I can possibly bring my Spreadsheets class up to a low "A" - I think if I make good scores on the rest of my assignments and do my discussions like a good student as well as make the same grade on my final that I did on my midterm, I can accomplish that - I can possibly graduate with a 3.22!! Now getting an 80-something in Admin Law is a big accomplishment and idk if I can pull it off, but if I can manage it - then I may graduate with honors. I'm not sure what my GPA would be.

Oh I also need to sign up for the Bachelor's degree program with VC Online. I am excited that I am taking my bach program part time!!

Other good news, I can fit into my skinny jeans (size 18)!!!! Hell yeahhhhh. It is my goal to drop 20 pounds by Halloween. That is a big goal, I know - but I think if I bust my ass, I can do it! If I can, I'll possibly be in a size 16 by my birthday - that would be a VERY happy birthday to me.

“Pain truly is weakness leaving the body, provided that the pain inflicted is small enough that you can handle it and grow from it, emotionally or physically.”

I found this on the Facebook for the CrossFit gym I go to:

Monday, August 16, 2010

It's been a while since I have blogged, but I've had a lot going on the past few days. My friends Kel and Chris came down from New Jersey to visit (Chris is in the Air Force and they are stationed there - he came down on leave) and I spent a few days hanging out with them.

Kel & Chris

Me & my amazing best friend Kel

Me & Chris - This was the first time I've seen him since Nov 2008.

Me & Chris again (I was trying to keep them from leaving...)

Saturday, August 7, 2010

So I am house-sitting for my grandfather today/tonight and while I am here, I am working on my spreadsheets class (which I have been seriously neglecting). I have 12 assignments to do (that includes the mid-term assignments) and so far, I've got 6 out of the 12 done. I've also got my Admin Law to do - which is about 7 or 8 briefs and the mid-term.

Here is my goal for today:
1. Finish all of my spreadsheet assignments.
2. Finish 3 case briefs.
If I finish all of that, I am going to go to CrossFit 10-9 (the gym I go to) and row 1500 meters (3 rounds of 500 meters) and do 60 pull-ups (3 rounds of 20).

So I read my grandmother's journals and she wrote a few nasty things about me. That honestly gets me down but also motivates me. I will prove her wrong.

Here are some of the things from her journal:
"Callie is home for break. She's as big as a house..." December 14, 2007

"This was her first semester in college. She appears to have gained 20 pounds. Add to Dianne's discussion 2 weeks ago to have Callie an implant surgery. She needs to have an intestinal bypass, which is what I've told both of them. I guess she'll have that next year." December 30, 2007
To her dying day, my weight has ALWAYS been her favorite subject.

Friday, August 6, 2010

So I am very proud of myself - I did almost 40 pull ups tonight at CrossFit. I pulled something in my leg and did a strength night instead of WOD.

When I got home from CrossFit, I thought a walk/run would help loosen up the muscle. Wow, I was wrong! It still hurts, but it's not as tight as it used to be. When I came home, I fell on the floor and almost died. But I ran .5 miles without Shane running behind me!!!
Today is the end of my externship at the law firm I've been working at the past month. I can't believe that in a single month I fulfilled 120 hours worth of work which was supposed to be spanned out over 11 weeks. I have enjoyed every minute of those hours and have learned SO MUCH from the attorney I have been working for.

In a way, I am relieved that today is my last day because this means I can spend more time focusing on my online classes and spend more time in the gym (oh I'm sure Shane and Bri will be happy to hear about that!).

In another way, I am disappointed because I really enjoy the work that I do and I don't like the idea of being stuck at my house every single day. But I am determined to find ways to get out of the house. I will spend more time at Starbucks working on my homework because I sometimes can't focus on homework while at my house.

I told them that if they have a lot of work and need help to call me and I'd be more than glad to come in and help.

I also put in my resume at two firms in Gulfport - or better yet Hildie from school put them in for me. I asked her to put in more for me and I will be putting some in for myself. Maybe I will be able to find a job within a few weeks.

CrossFit

For those of you asking me what CrossFit is - here is a video I got off of my trainer's Facebook page:

CrossFit has been "variously portrayed as a fitness company, a grassroots health movement, a nascent sport, a fad, a publishing business and sometimes, disparagingly, a cult." ::Found this on Wikipedia::

I am really enjoying CrossFit. I am starting to branch out and do things at home on my own, but am still keeping with the workouts at Shane's. This past week I've been entirely lazy bc I am getting over being sick and stuff like that. I got an elliptical to put at my house and I am buying an abmat to be able to work on my sit-ups. I want to be able to work on it both at home and at Shane's. Sometimes I cannot really afford the time to go to Shane's due to school/work conflict (but I go anyway) so I am gonna do some workouts at home (not all the time - but maybe a night a week) and text Shane my reps & time.

Facing My Fears

So I faced my fears and went to the cemetery yesterday. I went alone because I didn't know how I would react. Yes, I cried - but the tears made everything better.

It was a beautiful day and I couldn't ask for a better one. I got into McComb and decided I wanted to grab lunch and picnic at my dad's grave - so I went to Popeye's (one of our favorite places), got my chicken and went to the cemetery. It was so quiet and still there. It was kinda eerie seeing my dad's headstone.

I ate my chicken, turned on some music and just visited. I even stretched my legs out in the attempt to get some sun - just like I would've done if my dad had been there with me in person. After I finished eating I laid on the ground, with my head on his gravestone and talked to him for a little bit. Think I'm crazy if you'd like, but it helped me so much. I told him what Shane had done and how angry I was at him. Then after about 15 minutes of talking - I kissed his gravestone and got up to leave. I felt a breeze wrap around my body. At that moment, I knew that my dad and grandparents were there. That breeze was them hugging me. The sun shining on my face felt left a presence of their kisses on my cheeks. It was a moment I cherish.

I am glad that I went to the cemetery alone because I would've never had that moment if I had brought someone with me.

It's the cemetery for me today. I have to face my fear. I need to see my daddy. He was a man that meant so much to me! He was my hero. I miss him so much and I know he is with me where ever I go, but I need to see where he is laid to rest. I need to tell him so much.

"Now she is left with nothing - just a picture and a ring. Do you know that she will see you die every night in her dreams."

I found this poem online and thought I'd share it.

Why Dad,
Why did you chose to die?
You left no note and me with why?
You thought you were doing what was best and right.
Why, oh why, did you have to end the fight?
Your pain is something I will never understand.
You must have been so afraid to take this stand.
You left me with a title I am sad to attain.
Suicide Survivor, but who should I blame?
I know your decision was painful to make.
The thoughts in your head
Must have been unbearable to take.
Now that you're gone, I think of you a lot.
You couldn't have known the suffering this has brought.
I pray you are at peace my Angel, and I am in pain.
I count the minutes to Heaven and seeing you again.

I Love the Way You Lie

Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that's all right because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that's all right because I love the way you lie

Not So Happy Anniversary

"I have this feeling that there's one more star up in the sky tonight...it's far away but its light still reaches our hearts"

::I got this from the FB that Jen made::

Brad,

I'm sorry I can't visit you today. I want to - so bad, but I have to work. I am going to McComb this weekend to visit my daddy and I'm going to try to drive to Laurel to visit you too. You are a star in the sky and you shine as brightly up there as you did down here. I miss our random texts and messages on MySpace. I won't forget them and I won't forget you. I found pictures from the first time I saw you play at CPR Fest - damn I can't believe it was that long ago that I saw your band play for the first time! I'll listen to your songs today - as I do a lot here lately.

Thank you for being a part of my life. I am blessed to have known you.

Wasting Time at Lunch Time

I'm taking a few minutes to post real quick what I read from the book last night.
"No woman should ever have to convince a guy to want to eb with her - ever. If a guy isn't into you, who cares? It's his loss. Cut him loose and move on already. The lovely Jennifer Aniston has said, 'A relationship isn't going to make me survive. It's the cherry on top.'"
Well it's back to work for me. Will blog more later!

Celebrate the Life

This week I will be celebrating the life of two very special men:

My daddy - David Holder Rodgers
01/10/48 - 07/28/08

I miss him so much. To this day, I still wonder why he did it. I miss him all the time - especially when I get sick or I have to take a back road. He was the type of person who would've given you the shirt off of his back. I hope that I am making him proud with all that I've accomplished in the past 2 years. Graduating from college this year is going to be hard because he isn't going to be there to see me walk across that stage.

Bradley Wells
07/05/85 - 07/27/09

I love it whenever I hear one of his songs in my iPod playlist. He was one of the most unique people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He had this vibrant personality that could light up any room he entered into. He and I were not close friends, but I am glad that I knew him.

I have just recently started to talk to his mom via Facebook and I am glad that I got the courage to add her. She is one of the easiest people to talk to.
I've recently started reading a book called "How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World" so expect quotes from the book as I read it.

"So if we want their undivided attention for about 2.4 seconds, we should keep wearing our glitter minis and doing the bend-and-snap. But if we want a real gentleman, we should just keep our smart, classy, fabulous selves and they'll be beating down our doors in no time."

It's Me vs. the Dress

So I found my ultimate goal outfit...

It's a dress...

It so happens to be the dress I wore to my dad's memorial service. It's gorgeous! I haven't worn it since then and I was digging through my closet and I decided that I want to wear that particular dress (with a pair of cute flats) for my 22nd birthday. I know I went all out for my 21st, but I want to do it bigger for my 22nd because most of my friends will be 21 at that time (with the exception of Brittany...) and we can go do stuff. Plus, I want to be a "skinny bitch" (or skinnier than I am now) and go have fun.

I know dropping 60 or 70 pounds is drastic - so I am setting an obtainable goal for now: 30 pounds. I want to drop 30 pounds to be in my birthday dress. That is the exact same size I was when I wore the dress to my dad's memorial service and it gives me 4.5 months to lose the weight. Now, 40 or 50 pounds would be fabulous and 60 or 70 is my ultimate goal. I want to be between a size 12 and a size 16 again!

So here is the dress...

So I found out today that my dad was buried. My dad died 2 years ago and donated his body to science.

My sister-in-law put a comment on my Facebook:
"It was truely not in offense Callie. Shane just didn't want to bring up sad memories. He did what he felt was best for everyone including Papa Dave's memory. He ment no disrespect and as always was just being protective of everyone. Shane took one person with him only to hello with the headstone. Really, you should thank him for doing what he thought was best for the family."
"Damaged people are the most dangerous because they know they can survive."
I have been hurt, abused, cheated on, laughed at, screamed at and so much more - but I am still strong and I have survived.
